Swiss Team Games at Hendersonville Bridge Center
The Hendersonville Bridge Center will be running Swiss Team Games the 3rd Thursday of each month. The games will start promptly at 12:00 NOON Games will consist of 4 rounds of 6-board matches for a total of 24 boards played. The 20 VP scale will be used to score the matches.
There are NO restrictions on your team members. We have decided not to implement something like '8 is enough' or other team limits and instead would like you all to be able to play with your friends or whomever you would like to play with. What we WILL be doing is HANDICAPING the matches in order to make the competition as fair and competitve as possible.
How does the Handicap System work?
Using the chart below, each team would have a Handicap assigned to them based on the Total number of Masterpoints. For example: If a Team with a total of 740 masterpoints where to play a match against a Team with a total of 2815 masterpoints, the first team would have a handicap of 11, while the second team would have a handicap of 7. The difference would be 4 (11-7) so for their match the first team would get 4 IMPs added to their final score as a handicap towards the match results.
